as above really, my sons machine has take a turn for the worse and this calls for and up grade of mine and his computers
I have at the mo an e6600 @ 2.8 so I can either upgrade mine to a q9950 or an AM3 they will be the same price point once new board and memory is included. about £380, but which is the better one for me I play games and ushuall stuff on mine and he plays games on his.....
his was a 4400 x2 amd, so I would have to buy memory and MB as well for what ever route I go, I have tried to find charts for comparing the AM3's and q9950 but cant find anything conclusive.
for C2D upgrade i would buy the this weeks specials on MB (IP35) and memory (kingston ddr2) and power supply (OCZ)
there is no need for GFX card as I have a spare PCI-E card to use so purely chip ,board and memory to buy. plus a PSU
bullit
