another upgrade thread

Hey guys since buying my 4890 for 200£

i have see the prices drop so much i am so tempted to spend 350£ now! on
another 4890, either ASUS P5Q Pro or GIGABYTE X48 mobo and a new PSU.

is it worth it?

but yeh was pondering if i have 350£ to burn might as well keep it for a new build next year possibly but just the price of those 4890s are sickening

ok i'll stop being silly now, you find your 4890 performing at the moment? no struggling in anything? If not no need to upgrade that, as for the x48 gives you better crossfire opportunities later but if you're considering i7 in the near future not worth that either.

haha yeh skip im gna close my wallet now

tbh cant really see why it would struggle but reinstalling grid cos the first time round i installed it with my 8800GT so when i uninstalled physX it stopped working but truth behold i have been on my 360 everyday playing gears of war 2

may look into the Lian-Li Xbox box case now but will not be buying till it drops to sub 60£

yes it does buddy but i guess to feed your boredom you could do some gaming ay? or has that resource been exhausted since your car broke? hehe

but yeh i think i may be looking at a car sooner or later so this current rig will possibly have to last me 5years

so i guess i will be looking to skip the generation of i7s and phenom 2s

awww don't worry i'll be doing the same, my rig has got to last me atleast another 2 years. Haven't done hardly any gaming to be honest, running out of games to play, actually installed rollercoaster tycoon 2 the other day i was that bored. Got a busyish weekend ahead tho so should be ok.

Oh no don't get a car bottomless money pits they are. Then again i say this but i couldn't live without mine, hence my serious boredom issues. Got my brother's van for a week tho so all is good again

ive been playing generals zero hour after getting help from the guys at the pc games section just been getting bk into it but playing that game at full speed is ridiculous!
