Right I have this bizaare problem now in Vista. Yesterday I added my 3rd 1GB stick of ram to make 3GB. I then lost my wifi pci card. Windows still reported it in the device manager but it refused to find any wifi connections. I added a usb wifi stick and that worked fine.

I added a second pci wifi card and that also worked but wouldnt if I removed the other so it looks like I need two cards in for it to work internally????

Now even more bizaarely I add a 4th 1GB stick of ram today and now the 2nd wifi card is doing nothing. neither of the internal wifi cards seem to want to connect. Both are showing fine in the device manager. I have reinstalled both and reinserted both and even tried my dual boot of another OS with the same results.

OK the specs are a E6750, Abit IP35-e board and 4 x 1GB of PC5400 ram.

Any ideas why inserting more ram seems to nullify a pci slot?

try updating your bios that should fix it. If not im sure there is a setting which need to turned on or off to allow everything to work nicely together. But if you have no idea what that setting maybe, call the manufacture.
