Another voltage question

Hi guys

Sorry about yet another volt question but i have been reading a lot lately that high voltage can damage or kill a cpu. I have a newcastle 3500 running at 270x10 with mem at 225x3.

To get these speeds stable i had to push the vcore to 1.62 (which tends to change to 1.66 under load), is this to high considering that a newcastle is 1.5v stock. All this talk of high voltage has got me panicking

just off topic ( it saves me from starting another thread)

is it safe to go over 1000 htt

the reason i ask is at the moment i have the htt at 270x3 but my system is also stable at 270x4. if i set it x4 will i damage my computer in any way.
