Old news to be honest, and for 99% of users it will never be an issue. As of yet there is no proof at all it affects Ryzen just like none of the other side channel attacks did either.

Just something I caught wind of on youtube whilst watching a video on Zen2 lol, thought id post it if anyone hadn't seen it.
If it is the one I commented on before then it will affect them unless they wrap everything up so all operations look the same when using resource contention attacks which would slow SMT down considerably. In the real world though for home users there is pretty much no issue with this as if an attacker has got to the point they can leverage it then you have much worse security issues to worry about. For professional users a little more worrying.
