Sorry for another thread...
So my dads PC is going to have a water cooling upgrade (i hope), as i think the CPU without any overclocks is holding back his GTX 680, but even if it isnt holding it back that much water cooling is the way to go :D

Ok so he has a HAF 932, its going to be similar set up as mine, only difference being the case and he only has one GPU

XSPC RayStorm CPU WaterBlock (Intel)
XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump Combo
XSPC RX360 120mm Radiator - Top of case <-- But will it fit? I can only see holes for a 240 rad, but i seen that some people have fitted 360 rads in theres, just want to make sure that it will without modding :D

XSPC Razor GTX680 GPU Waterblock (Raystorm Style)
x6 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm 1150 RPM - 3 Pin <-- Push Pull :)
XSPC HighFlex Hose 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Blue/UV Blue 2M
x 10 XSPC G1/4" to 7/16" ID, 5/8" OD Compression Fitting (Black Chrome)

Also the Lamptron FC2 to control all the fans :)

Only really have one question with is will the 360 Rad fit in the top without any modifications ?

Only you can tell that bud as you have the case ;)

If the case only has stock room for a dual rad then you'll have to cut it to fit it, the main thing is you need to measure depth from the roof to the motherboard to check for clashing, RX360 + 25mm fans is an easy 85-90mm.

True that :D, thought that someone may have the answer :D

Ill probs buy the rad, and try it in the case, if it does fit ill keep it for my own build, theres no harm :D

The depth should be, if not then again ill just use it for mine, and get different Rad for my dads :D

The measurements look about right you should be fine:)

If its going on your dads card? Maybe you should "accidentally" order a few bits that will fit your machine ;)

hahaa, i am ordering all the parts together(besides my 900D :D ), but i wont get away in terms of money im paying for most of it, everything besides the GPU water blocks i am paying for :( LOL

^^ haha, i will try and get some pics up, but i dont think it will be anything special, as it has a non-modular psu :(, and well my cable management is not that good LOL, therefore the loop will be standard, maybe a mess, but standard :D, also finding the right angled connections seems a pain, and are waaaay to expensive LOL, but im planning on getting some adapter type connections and mounting the XSPC compression fittings onto them, might not look nice not too sure but oo well its my first attempt and its my dads :P:P

OK Project Noob with too much money :D, is on holt :(, just turned on my dads pc, it turned on but no signal is going to the screen, not sure whats wrong, but the most likely problem i guess is the Graphics Card? Im call up Amazon and see what they say... This sucks LOL

Haha always useful to get some practise on someone else's kit. Just be careful of the dreaded flash flood from lose connections.

Any luck with the GPU?

If your dad has onboard graphics it could prove functionality of the motherboard if you can get a signal.

I presume everything span up normally? Eg fans and HDD?

I have tried in my Computer, and the same problem, no signal to the screen, tried a different cable, and connection, still the same problem :(

I called Amazon and they said they can refund me for the Card, so hopefully once i get refunded ill buy another one, but the price has dropped slightly so i can save some penny's :D. As for on board graphics, me and my dad are kinda "old school", we both got old i7's 920 and 930. Everything else seems to turn on as normal, although i did restart mine a few times and on my last attempted it turned on for a few secs, off and on again and still no signal :(

But now seeing as my dad has taken apart his system, to give the case and everything a proper clean :D, he seems to have gotten the idea of changing the colour which i have no idea of how to do, as in what works and what doesnt but im sure theres a section on the forums for that, so ill ask soon after asking/looking around :D

Well glad you've got it sorted:)

Change the colour of what?

Could try your gpu in his comp to make sure everything else is working.

How old is his gpu?

Change the colour of the case, inside and out, he wants to paint it White, with parts of it Blue like the Grills and the HAF logo on the side blue is well, will have to wait and see how this turns out LOOL <-- This is all coming out of his pocket :), all my money is going on the water cooling parts and stuff

Hmm thats not a bad idea, ill grab the mobo box use it as a test bench and see if it the rest still works :D, his GPU was actually brought 2 months ago, so not that old

Remove the grills and spray them. As for the interior if he's good at painting he could do it with spray paint or for a better finish depending on the case you could get it powder coated. Not cheap but looks great:)

Is it possible to just Spray paint it with White and Blue spray paints without scuffing and priming ?

Depends on the finish really and the paint used.

As long as you use a paint designed for it in theory you could just go straight over it as long as you get an even covering.

If I were doing it myself I'd take all the paint down to the bare metal then work up from there.

Sanding down > cleaning the metal > two coats of primer or thick base > finish up with a couple coats of paint.

Best to take the case apart if possible. Use a power sander save yourself a lot of time. (Just make sure the panel is supported so as not to dr shape it)

However my old antec case happily just sprayed over it and it looked good ill try and dig out a picture. (No sanding or anything)

I don't know how your case is finished sorry.

Ahh ok, what i was thinking was to give it a quick rub, not to bare matel as i dont have the tools to do so. Then spray one coat of Primer, then a couple of coats of White Spray paint :D

And as i have never painted before i will use the inner sides of the side panels as practice :D

Haha sounds like a good idea.

If you have any scratches try to buff them out before painting. Otherwise they'll just become more apparent.

Use some rough paper first then use finer grains to smooth out the base.

You could always rough it up primer it then rough it up again to make a really solid base coat.
