Don't ask about the name, came to me when i was in some odd mood, sounds nice though i think
Anyways!
None of the links work at the moment as it is just the template that is uploaded really with the home page set for now, but the content will change obviously if you read it!
The main image on the site is a jpg. I did have it as a gif for the transparency but the quality dropped quite a bit so i set it to jpg. the only other alternative is to set it as a png but not all browsers support png transparency.
I think the site at the moment looks to plain, it is intended to be plain, simple and fun looking, that was the idea behind the site.
But I thought it might look better with an image in the background just to take away the feeling of emptiness the white background creates.
using a gif or png i could do this, but obviously not with a jpg, so if anyone knows a way to create a gif with the same quality as a jpg it would help me a lot!
So i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for what i could put in the background once i solve the transparency problem.
Obviously it cant be anything like scan lines/stripes/bold colours or a pattern as i wouldn't want peoples attention to be drawn away from the site, im sure thats hard withe the cow though!
If anyone has anything they have created that they think would work well with the site then please post an image of it here so i could get a few ideas as its always nice to see other peoples perception of things.
The only problem i had with the site was the navigation. Normally i use a single image as the whole navigation for still and hover effects, web designers will know what i mean. But this kicked up a stink so im using separate images for each link.( Ignore the dodgy graphics used for the last link, need to fix that when i get free of uni work )
The website validates CSS and XHTML Strict as i find it pointless doing something if its not going to be done right!
Any ideas and thoughts on the current site and backgrounds are mucho welcome, the only thing i am abit dodgy on is the navigation which i have changed several times since i started the website 2 days ago.
Thanks for any replies, hope you like the website!
