Have to say I know very little about the inner workings of my magic box/computer. Roughly my system has 1 GB RAM and 3ghz processor and I'm currently looking for a new graphics card to improve gaming (most new space and fps games run on 600x480 - the one below 800x600), but I haven't really got a clue which one.

Ideally something not over £150, but better than the GeForce Fx 5200 that came with the system all those years ago.

Would really appreciate any suggestions

Sapphire ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-122-SP)
Price: £109.95 (£129.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)

IMO is a good card compared to what you have especially, I'm also presuming you need it for AGP and not PCI-E?

I'm going to suggest the BFG 6800GS that can be found at the top of this page.

It's a nice and stable card, a fair bit better than the Radeon X800 GTO, comes pre-overclocked without voiding the warranty, supports Shader Model 3.0, and is £10 below your budget. You really can't ask for more at that price when it comes to AGP graphics cards.

BFG GeForce 6800 GS OC 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-013-BG)
Price: £119.95 (£140.94 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Edit: Just checked back today, the card is no longer at the top of the page. You can find it about a third of the way down. :o
