I am looking for recommendations on a new LCD tv. I have searched around and most people seem to recommend tv's for XBOX, MCE etc. All I will be using my tv for is watching Sky and DVD's and SkyHD in the near future.

I am keen on the Toshiba 32WLT58 and am interested in people thoughts on this or other recommendations. I would like it to have DVI and HDMI for future use and 32inch in size. Budget is around £1000-1200.

thanks

LG 32LX2R is superior to the Sammy in my eyes, also comes with both DVI and HDMI connections, both supporting HDCP so when it comes out you will be able to have both HD-DVD/Bluray andSkyHD connected up :)

well put it this way buy either of these two and youi cant go wrong. They will both be amazing when hd comes around

I've got a Tosh 32WLT58. I think it's the best quality picture out of all the ones I looked at (about 10 or so). A Sony one came second (can't remember which model) but it was a bit more than the Tosh and only had 1 HDMI connector. The Tosh has 2.

It has a PC input, but I don't think it's DVI (haven't looked yet) although having used my PC TFT on both "15 Pin" (whatever it's called) and DVI, I couldn't really see any difference, and I'll only be using it to connect my laptop for Internet browsing and playing MP3's from (via my amp) so it's not a priority for me.

Apart from that I'm more than pleased with it. Excellent definition, crystal clear, no bluring. I'm certainly happy with mine!

There's a review here

I'm still waiting to rec my Toshiba 32 lcd , from Toshiba direct ;)
Can't be that bad if the mags give it 5 Star's also seen most screen in Hughes and have to say apart from the panny the Tos was next best for me and the connection's it has .

:D

sorry to throw the thread into controvesty but id recommend the JVC LT-32DX7BJ but im 100% biased here as ive had this set for a whole week now and been nothing but impressed with and its got more connections than you can throw a stick at ,its an alternative anyway :p

Btw the new toshiba wlt66 should be out anytime now which should be around the wlt58 prices and will also throw the 58 into a lowered price state too ;)
