Another which card thread?

Soooo, my old graphics card is on its last legs so I'm in the market for a new one.

My budget is around the £140 mark. I've been looking at the gtx 260 and the radeon 4870 here and here...

I'll be using the gfx card to play some oldies like BF2 and it should hopefully be able to play some of the new games when they come out. I play at 1600 x 1050. Last consideration, my room is HOT - my current graphics card (1800xt) can't even handle call of duty 2 for more than 10 minutes before crashing due to the heat (though this is more likely a problem with the heatsink/fan)

Hi guys, thanks for your opinions.

My cpu is...I can barely remember! I think it is a core 2 duo 6700 or 6750 (if they exist!?)

in fact, will this card suit my needs? - it's 512MB, is that enough for 1680x1050?
