I have a 19" monitor (1280x1024) and i want a new computer. I was going to get the 8800GTS G92 but i was waiting for the new Nvidia and ATi cards.

Now im really confused, do i get a HD 4850/70 or an nvidia.

I like to play with everything turned up to highest, What is the best card for my res?

P.S. i might be getting a new monitor at some point but not atm. I want the graphics card that is the best for my res and the best for about a 22"/24" monitor.

The 4850 would beat the 8800 GTS G92 at your current resolution, and the resolution of a 22" / 24" monitor. Although with a 24" monitor which probably is 1920x resolution you might want to consider getting the 4870 instead. The 4870 is about 20% on average faster than the 4850.
