Hmm, I've been eyeing up a mech keyboard for some time now and just can't decide what to go for. Firstly Reds or Browns? FPS are my games of choice, BF4 set to be the main game as and when it's released.

So I have £75 worth of vouchers for the rainforest and need to decide which of the collection on their to get. Don't want to spend too much more.

Stipulations are that it's backlit (preferably blue LED) and has NumPad. Obviously links can't be posted (not even sure if this post breaks rules, if so apologies and please remove the thread), but a model name would be appreciated for me to investigate.

Thanks in advance.

BigChief. The big debate to have is whether you like to feel a slight tactility to a key stroke or prefer there to be a linear feeling.

I prefer the linear switch for gaming and the tactile switch for typing. Reds are nice and light which is great in reducing fatigue while playing but can lead to mistyping and sometimes simply resting your finger on a key will actuate the switch.

If you like backlights that's cool but remember the nice thing about mechanical keyboards is the keys are easily removed and replaced. This means that they can be more easily seen in low light if necessary. Plus with my history with certain keyboards I tend to avoid overcomplication. Just some switches and 105 keys please!

I think what I'm going to do is wait until iSeries and get a chance to mess around with some of the different switches my clan mates have. It will be by far the best way to decide which is the switch for me.

I definitely want a backlit one. I'm really jealous of the selection OcUK have as there just isn't the same range at the site I have my vouchers for. May end up buying from OcUK at LAN if there is a decent offer in place and just use the vouchers for something else.
