Ok the other parts to the question.

I plan to run 2 SATA 500gb drives in RAID 0 as the only HDs in the box, so gotta have a bootable RAID controler.

Not really planning on SLI and I am planning on a 8800 GTX.

Im planning on 4gb of ram and Vista 64bit (side question is which ram do you go for 6400C4 4x1gb 6400C52x2gb or 8500c5 4x1gb).

Im also planning on using a SATA DVD drive and not putting a floppy drive.

A board that can handle "zero effort" OCing with a cooler (also dont know which ones fit with which boards). Built in Wifi and bluetooth would be handy but not a show stopper and if its got sound thats with save me from creative driver issues in Vista thats also a plus.

Basically i want a fast, stable gaming PC so advice..... Thxs

bootable RAID arrays arent really a factor these day's almost every c2d Mobo has it and the controllers don't differ THAT much. If you're really looking for overclocking head room possibly give one of the P35 boards a try since they run at a much higher fsb and well if u give with the 8500c5 ram you'll have a lot of bandwidth and space to play with on ** memory. Overall for onboard sound asus tend to have the best with realtech HD audio. though you could always consider investing in an auzentech card as well, since they have fantastic driver support for vista x86 and x64.

really with all ** raid controllers it'll involve a setting in the bios and u should be good to go, and vista has raid support so no need for a driver disk. Only foreseeable issue is a sata dvdrom tho i think vista has u covered there as well. 4 sticks imo of the 8500 c5 is gonna be top notch for you, you'll have all the space to play with as well as a huge, huge bandwidth to fill with a nice latency to boot, and in terms of overclocking, go with either an asus board or a gigabyte board, the P965 DS3 is still a legendary overclocker even with stock cooling, there hasn't been much information about the P35 boards, so it's up to you if you wanna go with the reviews on site which seem very positive or wait till more information is available.
