Hello All,

my mind is a mess with ALL this talk of the P67 hype, i am going to order my gear i think, no point in waiting any longer.

at present i have one 570, i will be looking to add a second 570 in a few months time, i have been told that the Asus P67 Pro is only 8x PCIe when using SLI but 16x in Single card mode, i am also told that this is a rather big hit on performance.

Is this right? Will the NF200 answer this problem, Is it a Problem?

HELP me choose the right main board.

Thanks.

Love the Mast3r of Disaster.

This is not right. 8x8 will drop you like 4% compared to 16x16. If I recall correctly the bandwidth available between the chip and the PCIe has doubled on SB but i cant remember where i saw that. I'll try and find it again. EDIT: Intel will also enable 5GT/s PCIe 2.0 slots with its 6-series chipsets. The PCIe lane bandwidth of the new chipset is double that of previous Intel chipsets.

8x8 will be fine.

check out this SLI scaling on P8P67 Deluxe test

The same results would happen with the pro as it does the same 8x8.

as the above has said the asus pro will not degrade your crossfire running at 8x8 it only means you loose 1-2fps in realtime in gaming and you not notice it at all.

But a really good board I have been having a blast the last couple of days playing around with it.

Did some bench stuff
