Hey guys, quick ram question. Forgetting about price as theres only a few quid in it, which of these offers the best performance?

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

I will be overclocking a bit and I need the ram because games are starting to run a bit slow as I only have 1GB.

Cheers.

I've just gone for the:

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Black Dragon DDR2 Dual Channel Kit

Bought 4gb worth. Its beautiful RAM and I got 4 x 1gb for £104. Plan to upgrade to DDR3 in 18 months. Had Geil Golden Dragon on my old PC and I was very impressed. Chips are set into the board to reduce heat, very smart with Red Eye's on the Dragons to show they are working. I've seen some good reports on them to.

I've just been browsing the forums and a lot of people rate this very highly:

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-5300C3 667MHz Dual Channel Kit

Is it worth the extra over the GeIL and OCZ I previously mentioned:

Also, will it be compatible with a DFI Lanparty Ultra-D?

Cheers.

Looks like I need a new mobo too, and if I do that then its high time I got a new cpu as well....this could get expensive :D

I think I'll wait for a few more months before the big upgrade. Until then, is there any good value ram that I could pair with the 2x512mb of Patriot Dual Channel PC3200+ XBLK DDR ram that I already have?

i have just ordered some Geil 2GB ULL stuff for £40. so i will report back, maybe tomorrow if it arrives.

i do have 2GB Crucial Ballistix 5300 3338 and it was great stuff, really quick, stable etc but a stick died on me over weekend so im RMA ing back to crucial and then mixing matching Geil + Crucial when it all arrives back.

oh and going vista and getting an OCZ dual channel USB pen drive for readyboost too:)

I have 2x 2x1GB Geil Ultra RAM and it has served me really well.......but have just picked up some Patriot RAM (here) for silly money......time for some comparisons - anyone got any thoughts on Patriot stuff ?
