I know its a very early beta but I just cant get over how awful that taskbar looks.

I think it looks far better than Vista. Now bigger screens are common, we don't need stupidly small icons and can spare a few pixels for something a little bigger and prettier.

That's very true actually. I run at a resolution of 1600x1200 and sometimes icons are tiny.

I just think that the taskbar needs to be rethought. I'm sure there are better ways of having the same functionality or at least showing the same information.

you can do that now with vista by just changing the opacity of the gadgets and when you mouse over them they will brighten up

Yeah but I dont like the sidebar and want a button to hide or show them on the desktop.

How? Only option I see is left or right side of the screen and no key bindings.

I think its a gimmick imo.

Your PC monitor would be filthy in days.

I know... I have a touch screen in my car pc.
