Another women drivers rant!

Happened to me yesterday, I was half way across a roundabout and I noticed that the woman waiting to pull out from the left wasn't looking my way and instead staring at the guy on the pavement waiting to cross. She then just pulled out without even looking my way, I had to hit the brakes hard and stop the car to avoid hitting her, it was lucky that I was half expecting it!

But were you half expecting it because it was a woman :p

There's certainly some **** drivers about these days! I see at least one example of shocking driving every time I go out.

My biggest hate at the moment is people who just can't be arsed to signal. An unbelievable amount of people just don't bother.

+1 daily occurence and the signal failure at almost every roundabout. TBH of the 3 minor accidents (to clarify none were my fault obviously :)) ive had in my car 2 of them were women failing to stop in stupid situations where anyone in their right mind should have stopped and rear ending me. And of the near misses I can remember all of them were women, one particularly special case almost hit me twice during an overtake. Women dont have the same spacial awareness as men as stated above, that and the fact that in general they dont give a monkeys about cars means they dont mind too much bumping things.

I think you might be onto something here :p

Although I will say that one of the worst bits of driving i've seen lately was actually performed by a bloke

I was going straight across a roundabout in the right hand lane and some bloke came all the way around the roundabout in the outside lane and just chopped straight across me! Luckily I had my eye on him and saw what he was doing so adjusted my course. I gave him a few choice hand signals though

It's not equal rights, its just blatant misogyny, no wonder half the posters in here who are guilty of it bang on about how girls won't date them on facebook and in GD.

Will Gill is the only real exception from what I can tell, but then he seems to be something fairly special.

1. Women can't even cook or clean these days, so are good for one thing, well mine is anyway :D
2. Will Gill is the definition of Special :)
3. Telescopi has an interesting final argument :D

You take things too seriously beloved hurfy.

I ride round like everybody is trying to kill me whether male or female, Closest anyone has come so far was a Male who looked straight at me then pulled out sending me over the bonnet & into hospital for x rays.
I think Everybody is a **** driver, We all get distracted & it's Luck that gets most of us home safe.

I think this is the only attitude to have. Just expect everyone to try and kill you and constantly be on your guard. This line of thinking has saved my ass a few times now.

Went out for a late night pootle and thought about this thread - someone in a Picanto decided to pull out last second on a roundabout as I was hurtling towards them. It's a pretty big roundabout and has a 40 limit, why you'd not just wait I have no idea.

I was about 2 feet from making babies with the side of her car. This is why I have a big, tough tank - if I hit someone they take all the damage :p

I agree she should have checked her mirrors, but to throw a spin on it.
You said she started to move over when you were about level, so her moving wasn't sudden. If you were overtaking and level to just in front then you would have passed the blind spot.
Also if you were over taking its your job to assess whether it is safe to do so, maybe she was already showing signs of changing lanes that you missed as you were already in the middle of the manoeuvre?

Already been through this. She wasn't showing any sign of changing lane, she just moved across then started signalling. As I looked across at her she was clearly gassing with her mate and wasn't even looking. I can promise you I was doing absolutely nothing wrong.

She rather sheepishly held her hand up after I blasted the horn at her repeatedly.

I love the way people on here try to insinuate I was doing something wrong
