the intro is still completely awesome. if anyone can help me get the keyboard working correctly with this game though it'd be good

right now it's as if the down cursor is constantly pressed. so menus just go crazy and i'm always squatting in game. just everso slightly unplayable in this state.

You got a joystick or something plugged in?

That can give you the effect you describe.
 
This seems pretty good so far, although 151MB (extracted) for a 30 second demo is pretty harsh considering the original game is only a couple of megabytes. Also hopefully in the full version they'll include the music samples for when you get killed (ie. by the 'worms') and sort out the insane running speeds.

Worth a download if you're a fan of the original. :cool:

ps. I didn't have any control difficulties as mentioned in the first post.

Its already the full game you've downloaded, you simply buy an unlock key. I havent bought it yet, but 7 Euros isnt very much so i may just buy it. I loved it on the Amiga, it would be great if they did Flashback as well.

Saitek Keyboard?

Try Q3 on this page I had the same sort of problem with my Saitek Eclipse on Thief and this fixed it.
 
I had the same problem with the demo and a Saitek keyboard, disabling the right USB HID does indeed fix the problem. (Planetside is also affected by this).
 
Just had a go at this, will play properly tonight, but I reckon it's a cool but only slight update of one of the best games ever.
