do you have to set the core clock manually to reach 1500 /750

as it saying it 600/700?

oh ive had use the cm stacker dual psu adapter to split the power it seems ok at the min :) :)

Just fire up CCC (go make a cup of tea while it's loading btw) go to the ATI overdrive bit, click the unlock icon on the right, and off you go. 690/800 shouldn't be a problem for the stock cooler. The slider bars will sometimes reset to default if you hold the mouse button too long btw. Remember to click apply.

The 2d clocks don't change btw, only the 3d ones.

3DMark06 deep freeze to check it's stable.

Ati Tool will do the trick as well, create a profile to load at 3d application launch set with your OC settings.

Oops, yeah. I meant ATI Tray Tools for display settings, for OC settings then ATI Tool is the best. :D

Mine loads in about 3 seconds. :D

First time after rebooting it takes about 9 seconds for me, then about 4 second subsequently. I dunno, it just seems longer somehow :D

I wish they'd do a minimal skin for it without the 'flashy' graphics and the stupid 3d animation rubbish (which I have turned off anyway).

I don't think it's just the graphics, I think it's all the integration with the .Net Framework technology and other things. All nothing but bloat.

If I had written a piece of software in college and come out with something like Catalyst Control Centre I would've been given a fail.

But you'd have been offered a job by ATi, so it's not all bad. :D
