Whilst on holiday I was observing ants doing things like carrying away chip sticks and dead wasps. Amazing little things really.

I would like an ant farm where you can see what they are doing day to day without going out looking for dead animals!

as ocuk does not sell ant farms I guess its ok to link to these (remove if not)

This to me looks like a novelty kids item which i am not looking for (similar to the gel antworks farms)

Something like this looks a bit better but do not want to get ripped off either

or https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DKXFBOI/

Not sure if you can put food in top but would be good to put in different things when the food runs out

This website has some farms and can buy different ants but it looks like the tunnels are already created. I don't fancy buying a £100 queen with 4 works only for them to get killed either by other ants or due to low temperatures - the leaf cutter anys would be good to watch though

Does anyone have good info or have their own ant farm?

Wasn't there a thread on this place some years back with a guy who built one at work on his office desk? Or are my drugs and old age playing with my mind?

There's a very big one at Marwell Zoo (if you're in the south), with (clear) tube 'roads' for the ants going around a whole greenhouse so you can see them carry leaves and food and stuff. There are probably youtube videos of it.

Im not in the south but see the antscanada link above. You can buy the clear tube farms to create your own. I would rather have my own to control & monitor

The ants at London zoo are leafcutters that go along contoured ropes. These ropes are open so you can put your nose right up to them and the ants.
It's not a massive structure but it's plenty to get the ant action.
