Hey guys, I've done a search, but can't really find what I need.

Does anyone know the cfm and dba of the fans installed in the Antec 1200 as stock? Are they same values as the Antec tri-cool fans?

Also, has anyone replaced the stock fans with aftermarket fans? If so, was it easy to replace them? I need better airflow in my case, but these things are really noisy at full speed.

you dont need to replace them mate, they are good enough as they are...my fans are all on min speed and the pc is ultra cool even when gaming for 6 hrs on high end games at full detail;)

My NB temps are high though, I have found that running all 3 front intake fans, gets me sub 50 degrees. woohoo!! It means I can OC the board further. But I need a lot of air coming in.

I am also looking for the caddy that hold the optional "middle" fan. Anyone know where I can get one?

I absolutely love the 1200. I havent changed the fans, have left them all as it is...I put the fans on high cos of the 4870 X2 I have in there (which also has its fans at 65% faster than normal).

cje: best option would be to contact Antec direct.

Yeah, I did get one, was thinking a second on on the end of another drive cage would be of benefit....

Instead of having the front case fan blowing at high, I thought that a second middle fan would help improve airflow to the NB. I've just spotted one on a marketplace elsewhere.

But then I'd have 9x 120mm fans in my case!! Too much!!! Argh! Next time I am going watercooled.:o

EDIT- have got a 120mm fan on the side panel + 2x 40mm fans 1 on NB and 1 on SB. Still not quite enough. Think I need another 40mm on NB.

There is no such thing as fan overkill!!

My motherboard is a Striker II extreme mate. And the stock cooling is known to be pants. My fault really for not watercooling it. Voltage is 1.48v. ASUS have told me that my temps are ok, but I'm trying to get them down for longevity of the board. Temps idle at 50, max at 54. These are what the temps are at stock voltage with low fan speeds and no 40mm fan. So, I can now run 1600fsb. Great success!

But, I really want to replace the front 3 intake fans as their noise is getting on me nerves. Maybe I'll get some Noctua's who knows. Cheers all.
