Antec 1200 Question....

Hi chaps, need a little advice. I've got an Asus Rampage II Extreme board, 2 x 5870 in CF, an Asus Xonar D2X PCI-E and an Antec 850W Modular PSU installed in an Antec 1200 case. I've got the 5870's in PCI-E x16 Slots 1&2 and the Xonar in PCI-E x16 Slot 3. The lack of space between both GFX cards really bumps up the temperature on the card in Slot 1, meaning I haven't been able to OC my CF setup.

Ideally I'd like to move the Xonar to the top PCI-E x1 slot, keep the top GFX card in PCI-E x16 Slot 1, and drop the second GFX card into PCI-E x16 Slot 3 to allow both cards more room to breathe. The problem is the PSU in the Antec 1200 goes in the bottom of the case, and is tall enough that it blocks PCI-E x16 Slot 3 and I can't get my 2nd GFX card in there.

Is there any way I can mod either the PSU or the case so I can setup my cards the way I'm hoping to? I was thinking of removing the rubber feet on the PSU to see if that would work, but wanted to check with someone more knowledgeable than myself before doing so. Can this be done?

Also, with the 5870's in Slots 1&3, will they both be linked at x16?

Thanks for your time.
