HI All,

There seem to be very few 1200 side panel mods around except of course for the 2.5 billion window changes. HAs anyone here seen anything different whilst trawling through the forum/s?

This was a popular thread wasn't it! ;)

Whatever mods you decide to do, I'll look forward to seeing them :) I always enjoy seeing something different emerge from a dust cloud in someone's shed (figuratively speaking of course)

Basically what I am doing is the following.

1/ Remove the window
2/ Weld in a complete section of steel so there is no window
3/ Cut a new window at the top of the panel, shape to be decided.
4/ Joggle the edge to recess the window
5/ Drill 2112 3mm holes in the bottom make a flush fan grill for two 120's
6/ Make some kind of filter arrangement that is removable.
7/ Paint it black.

Sounds like a good plan - Look forward to seeing it :)

On a side note, your CPU/HSF is virtually the same as mine, did you find lapping made any noticable difference?

Been thinking about doing mine, but if it's no significant improvement I might as well not bother eh? :)

Well my HSF was so banana'd that I felt inclined, especially after the BS I read about it being designed that way!! Yes it gave me after 1 day of burn in, 5c on one core and 4 on the other.

5*c for free ain't bad is it :) might give that a go... Might not... depends if the kids give me a few hours peace one day lol

Thanks :)
