I’m looking at getting an Antec 300 but was wondering if it has enough room to fit in a GTX280, I like the fact that it doesn’t have any LED’s on it and it also doesn’t have a window which is just what I want.

I have also looked at the Antec P182 which seems very good and has a few more extras over the 300 but I have read some people have had problems with their PSU cables affecting the fan at the bottom of the case. Has anyone had any problems with this or were they just using a very large PSU?

If anyone has any suggestions about case it would be very much appreciated looking for a black case with no LED’s and no side window.

Thanks

get the p182 its much more sturdy

The psu cables affecting the fan is most likly to do with poor cable mangement & the fan catching on some badly placed cables thats all no fault of the case

YEah I don't use any fan placements in the 180 except for one in the middle cooling the hard drive and one at the front bringing cool air into the lower part of the case for the PSU.

Yes I'm using that exact cooler in my P182. Also can't fault the case. It has great airflow and very quiet\easy to work on.

Yeah they're really sturdy. The Middle fan can be annoying, but it's not as bad as people say, particularly if you have a modular PSU. I'm sure it can be removed anyway.

The GTX280 definitely fits in, I installed mine yesterday, though i'm not sure if it would with the top HDD cage, I don't have that in anyway.

Overall it's a much better quality case, a lot more refined and quiet. It's very heavy though, but that's testament to the thick dampening side panels etc. I wouldn't buy it if you're after a loud, brash case with lots of LEDS and a side window though.

that's good that everything will fit in, as the graphics card and cooler aren't exactly the smallest things in the world.

Can't wait to upgrade been using my P4 3GHz for far too long now haven't been able to run the latests games for a little while now as my graphics card hasn't been up to it
