antec 300 case buttons

hi i have an asus m3n78se motherboard and am trying to hook up the power and hdd lights but cant get them in the right plugs.
iv done it the way it says on the baord but the power led is 3 pins long and wont fit, anyone got a solution?

I had to move one of the pins in the 3 pin connector to slot onto my motherboard. Very easy to do.

i didnt know you could do that and feel stupid for not realising it.
i just always assumed the connectors where completely universal.
