Antec 300 Ideas

Hello,

Just received my antec 300 now I've seen a lot of mods in this case. Im gonna add some holes for cables mabybe a window but I just wanted to ask would it be a good idea to cut a hole under the psu so it intakes air from outside (With a dust filter) the case and not from the inside? And if anyone hase modded the case feel free to put some pics up

yeah get a side clear window. get some nice cold cathodes in there as well. light it up

Quite a lot of Antec 300 mods on this board and about the internet. I'm tempted to get one and spray the inside black, add a few cable management holes and possibly spray the grills on the front a different colour. I'm not much for neons and windows so i guess it's just up to you.

One of the best looking mods for them is to blank the optical drive off. Just take the spare blanking plate, pop the mesh off, then cut it right down on the back and file/sand it so it's flat. Pop the mesh back on, bend it tight round the corners and stick it to the drives tray with sticky back foam stuff, then just slide the drive back in a few mm, and it lines up nice. Just press the bottom right corner to open it!

Just makes the front look a lot nicer IMO. I also have Xigmatek fans in mine, which look pretty subtle on the front because of the filter, really suits it IMO.

I made a window in mine and etched it, I still need to paint the inside black.

I used a £20 dremal clone from Wilkinson's, its really easy to do and loads of fun

I used a jigsaw with high TPI metal blades as I find dremels use too many cutting wheels going through metal
