Antec 300 ocUK silent

Hello
Thinking of buying this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-170-AN&groupid=2180&catid=2195&subcat= to replace my old cheap icute

I like the antec 300 black plastic and because it has no silly windows or flashing LEDs but before purchasing just wanting to know how much diffidence do those silence mats make?

The Bitfenix Shinobi is better than the Antec 300.

The silence mats, I'm not quite sure how much difference they'll make, but they should make some difference.

I agree with KD, the Shinobi is just £3 more, and that is a vast amount more value than the silent 300. I'm a 300 user and I know the limits of this things functionality.

I too am a 300 user, do not get this case.

TBH, I'd go for the Fractal Design R3 if you want a simple looking silent case. Everything thing I've ever heard about those foam silencing pads is that they don't do anything. Better off getting a nice case that was designed from the ground up to be quiet.

Agree with SMed. I have the coolermaster silencio and depending what you put in it they are quieter. If I were buying again I would get the R3.

Or a Corsair Carbide 300R and a big sheet of foam

Actually, yeah, I'd missed it, but for that price range, you might as well get a Fractal R3. It is designed as a silent case, rather than adapting a non-silent case, for silence, and it has solid air flow. Can't really go wrong.

The only bit that will make an ideal case for me would be R3 with removable HDD racks (like CM Advance/Lite from 690 range). Never ever I will have so many HDD ...have only two ...

Look at the Arc from fractal design too
