About to start my new build using an Antec 300 case and I see the PSU goes at the bottom. First time I've built using a case which does that, so my question is do I mount the PSU upside down, so the fan can still pull air?

if there are no air holes at bottom, i would. also another thing to watch out for is the length of the wire for the cpu from bottom mounted psu. i've heard a couple of times peep say it don't reach when they hide the wires from behind.

Yes the Psu mounts upside down in the antec 300. you cant really hide the wires behind in the case, the 8pin m/board cable on mine was a tight fit to thread around the outside of the board.

My PSU has the intake fan pointing up towards the top of my case (Upside down or the right way up ?), I also used an extension cable for the 4/8 pin M/B connection and fed it under the board, No way it was stretching without the extension.

The front panel audio header is a bit tight too but, Manageable round the board and tucking in at the corner.

hi you can put the psu with the fan downwards and there is still a good ail flow because of the stand off's in the case!

Before you start your build, you could always mod your 300 by putting a hole in the floor of the case using a holesaw, like so:

I'm intending to do the same as soon as I get my drill back as cable management is a lot easier / tidier with the fan facing downwards.

In preparation I've added some larger feet to my 300 to raise it higher off the ground for greater air flow.

It's a thought. If heat becomes an issue I might turn it over and cut a hole but mine will be stuck in a 'cubby hole' anyway.

I find that mine takes away some of the GPU's heat, without affecting it's own temps too adversely. The front fans feed plenty of cool air in, so you really don't need to worry.

If youre concerned about cable management with a flipped PSU, then;
-With mobo tray in the tray mark up all the areas of the mobo where you have connections (24 pin, 8pin, satas, ide, cards etc)
-Mark up a hole where the cables leave the PSU unit
-Take PC apart and cut all the holes out, file the edges and get some u-channel on them
-Wire manage your PC correctly :D
