Antec 300 question

Hi, I'm planning on the following build:

Q9550 + Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3
4gb DDR2-800
Radeon HD4870 512mb
X-Fi sound card
1 x DVD-RW (Sata)
4 x HDDs
Corsair 650W TX Series PSU

Will the Antec 300 be too small for this? In particular, will I have trouble fitting in the graphics card, with the four hard drives?

Also, what's the airflow like in this case?

Thank you in advance! :)

will all fit fine, and the airflow is one of the best available when you put all the optional fans in.

Yep, it will fit fine. As Edgey said, the airflow is superb.

The four hard drives won't give you any problem fitting in that graphics card.

Enjoy the case :)

Thanks for the replies! I think I'll go with the Antec 300 then.

I was just watching some youtube video reviews of the case and although it's pretty small, the simplicity and thoughtful design of the case really caught my attention. I was gonna go for the Antec P182 at first, but the price is a little too steep for my liking.

I've also replaced, the Gigabyte mobo with a Asus P5Q PRO P45. Is that a good choice?

I think you will be surprised how much space there is.

You won't be short of thumbscrews for your hard drives either. I've installed a couple and an optical and still have a load left.

Thanks for the replies Luxor.

I notice that this case has the PSU at the bottom. Will the 24pin power connector from the PSU have any issues reaching the motherboard? The PSU will be a 650w TX series Corsair.

Aye, the psu is fitted upside down in this case.

I've got a Corsair 520HX PSU and didn't have a problem with the 24pin power connector and I could tuck neatly a lot of the cable in the storage bay. The only one that gave me a little grief is the 4 pin 12v cable which on my motherboard has to reach near the top of the case.

This recent picture doesn't quite show everything but you get the idea.

Superb case - you dont have to put your corsair psu that way round either - ive got a tx750 in mine. The 12v will reach under your mobo to keep things neat n tidy.

Any other loose cabling can be cabled tied and stored to the side of the hdd caddy.

Howdy, I just build my new pc last week using this case, its brilliant. Although it looks small there is plenty of space in there. I'm also using a 4870 which is sitting directed across from my hdd and there is like a couple cm gap between the two with enough room for the cables, our builds are similar and there is plenty of room for everything.

*Its a bit of a mess inside but its only a week old and i'm still working on it :P*

I have the TX 650 and its flipped on its back because the other way isn't practical with the fan blowing against the base.
