Does anyone use the 620 with an Ivy?

I've got it and my current settings 4.2Ghz + 1.130v pump out an average 55c 24/7 load folding temp, IBT max 65c.

I think these temps seem pretty normal, it's just when I try to get a stable 4.5 OC It requires 1.25+ volts and the temps go 80c-92c+ And I've seen people go 1.3-4volts and get these temps.

I tried going 1.350v to test for a max OC and the temps went instantly over tjmax in IBT :(

Is this normal for my cooler? I don't think there's a problem with the paste/needs reseating, considering my current settings.

Do I need a better push fan? (Also notice it's not properly connected due to lack of proper screws) :p

your temps at 4.2ghz seem fine, but reaching 80c+ is too much at 4.5ghz. Ivy bridge is definitely hotter when it comes to overclocking.

Do you think it's my cooler then, or perhaps maybe I need to remove the IHS and apply high quality paste to reduce temps?

Would've at least expected to get 4.5Ghz stable at under 80-90c in IBT.

The paste that comes pre applied to the cooler is high quality stuff. You could try reseating and replacing paste and hopefully it would bring the temps down.

I meant under the ivybridge chip itself, slicing it open with a blade and replacing intel's gunk.

No paste came with the cooler and I used a rice grain of artic silver 5.
