Hi Folks,

My first post here after being a member for quite a while. Any how so I got my self a new PC.

I'm running a Asus Maximus IV Extreme B3 edition with an i7 2600k unclocked at stock speeds for the time being.

I've got all my kit in a silverstone ft02
Heres some pictures so you can understand the layout.

Radiator mounted underneath fan - to maintain positive air presure in case

Any how, what i'm concerned with is the temps atm. They're currently running at abour 37c on idle and 50-60 when understress.

Now my thought with this cooler is that i'd be achieving better results especially at stock speeds. I've been thinking maybe I need to have the radiator at the top and the fan underneath the radiator?

Any suggestions welcome and advice.

Regards,

Frazer

Always have the fan under the radiator so it is as stated above "pulling" air in and not "sucking air in" which will restrict the amount of air able to cool the radiator,

Okay so air is now pushing instead of pulling... The layout of my case means that fans push from the bottom and usually the fan at the top extracts that air inside the case but now i've got that fan pushing. General temps are around 30/31c on the first core however i'm seeing 8/9degree difference between cores is that about right?

temps between cores are normall... nothing to worry about. its the overall temp of the cpu you really want to monitor... use OpenHardwareMonitor to track the temps of all your hardware.
