Antec 900 Black Paint

I was looking to paint the whole of the inside of my Antec 900 black and was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a spray paint can with enough volume to do this? Any info would be appreciated.

You can get cans of spray paint from halfords and you will probs need 2-3 dependant on how many layers you want to do also dont forget primer.

halfords also do the hamerite smooth paint which is very good and also doesnt need primer. i used about 1 and half cans when i sprayed my 900.

This Hamerite paint, isnt that the brush on stuff?

Just did a quick check, theres a hammerite smooth spray @~£10 and a can for ~£13.

I know it says you don't need a primer with these, but would it be good practice to give it a coat of primer anyway?

Also, do you need to rub the case down or anything before hand?

sorry probably should have said spray can.
with the hamerite it is really not needed to primer its that good! abit pricey compared to regular spray but then save on primer.
always rubdown with sand paper, i would reccommend a quick 500 grit then once over with finer 800 just to give the paint something to stick to.

Would I have to take all the internal racks out and spray them seperately? or is it possible to spray it all in situ?

Want black internals on my HAF but really can't he bothered chipping rivots out and then having to rivot it all back together again lol

Taken from another post some time ago on this forum (can't remember who) ...

Go to Halfords and purchase the following:

- Grey primer undercoat (large can)
- Matt black top coat (large can).
- Medium and Fine sandpaper.
- Tack cloth (makes it easier to get dust out after sanding).

Remove any bits from the case that are removable and spray them separate.
It should take nearly a day to sand, prep and mask prior to painting.

The quality of the finish is in the prep, not the spraying.

I went this AM, i decided to get myself the Halfords own 500ml gray primer and 500ml Satin Black.
The Hammerite stuff was £11 these two cans came to £14 but i think ill have more of a finish with the two.
