Hey

Are there any Dust Filters out there that will fit straight into an Antec 900 front/side/rear 120mm Fans? the dust inside is amaziing lol, they are like hoovers lol..!

I may resort to getting some ladies tights or net curtains lol and wrapping my case in them... its getting to the point now where i have to wipe the front grill daily lol... and the dust inside is out of this world, i have 2 cats, anyone would think i have a 3rd living in my PC lmao

As you said probably the easiest way is so cut up some tights and stretch them over them. However, if you don't want the embaressment of buying tights, you can get this kind of thing that just screws onto the fan itself. I have no idea if they will work in your case though!

PK!

Normal dust filters like the one above will fit, i used them in mine, its a tight squeeze when putting the front grills on but will definatley stop a lot of the dust from getting in, you will still need to wipe the front down every day though!

I threw some compressed air thru mine last night, nealry choked to death... I have a couple filters but theyre too big :(

ordered some of those 120mm covers,

i saw them a while ago and was put off by the review of "cutting" parts of it off lol

oh well, soo what happens :P

Akasa 120mm fan covers are Cack!

They wont fit in the front fans on my antec 900 :(

Looks like i wil have to improvise and use something else...

Sorry to hear that.

You could always sell it on a popular auction site and put the money towards a 902 or a 1200, I’ve seen 900s for £60.00 on there.

i really tried aswell lol, i basically had the fan in pieces trying to work out a way of sorting it... Grrrr - couldnt even fit one of the side intake fan.... oh well... might try and flog them on i guess.

I might have a go at making my own out of a pair of tights / netcurtains or something, better yet, i could get the hoover out once in a while :p

Isnt fan filters more hassle in a 900, cos you still have to take out the hdd cage to clean the filters??, Id rarther just blow my case out every 2months cos its like a 5min job.

You pull the cages out by about an inch, which I’m doing weekly and takes about 2 minutes and my case looks clean 27/7 so no it’s not a hassle its great.:D

accept you need to take both side panels off and unscrew both hdd cages, How can that take 2mins? Plus If you have tidied up your cables it makes it even harder, cos the fans and hdd cables,, you would have tidy the cables back up every time, or I would if I pulled my hdd cages out 2inches. Plus the right side panel is a pain to get back on cos of the cables. Edit, Im thinking to fasten some black tights to the front of the grills somehow.

First of the HDD cases are very well engendered so are a very good tight fit. So I only use 2 screws on one side that’s 4 in total. Plus I believe that good cable management does not include wiring that has zero play on it. By simple pulling an extra inch out of cable to remove the dust filters is by no means a bad thing.

My case has good cable management and is very clean because of the filters I think that mix of tidy cable management and ease of use is the way to go.
