Hi, could I use a fan controller on the provided Antec Tri cool fans? I want to buy one of these cases with a fan controllers (Just for the looks really lol) and was wondering it if would work as I know these fans are different and have a 3 control setting. I would buy different fans but I quite like the idea of the blue light coming through the front grill.

The Tri Cool fans are molex powered, may be possible to rewire them to 3 pin but I'm not sure. If you're desperate for the blue LED's I'm sure Yate Loon do some LED versions of their fans.

Most fan controllers come with 4 -> 3 pin adapters and vice versa. I bought some Xilence 3.5" bay ones and they came with 3 each! Awful fan controllers imo, cheaply built, wouldn't recommend. As long as you leave the tri-cool fan on the "high" setting I think it should be fine to use with a fan controller, otherwise the fan might just not spin at all.

I use a scythe karma pannel with my antec 1200 case. I just turned up the built in fan controllers to high.

I managed to make molex to 3 pin converters/extension cables out the extension cables that came with the controller & some molex connectors nicked off an old power supply

The ones in the antec are 2 wire only so no rpm reading but still can be used on a fan controller either by wiring into a 3pin connector or using a 4pin to 3 pin connector. I brought some other Antec Tricool LED with the 3 wires so you can get RPM readings as well and swapped the black blades out of the originals and into the new ones in the drive bays.
