Best midi case for cooling, build quality and looks the bizz#!

I want a new case that is good for cooling

i guess these two are good?

which one should i go for, as i am having trouble finding a case i like the look of and i think my choice is out of these two

i know the antec 900 has loads of fans and fan space, and the armor is supposed to be good for cooling

the antec is a bit small and confined apparently and do i got for an armor jnr or a full, will it make much of a diff with temps

also should i go for the armor with the side 25cm fan?

or any case less than £120, which looks smart and is a good build, any recommendations

needs to be a good build and have very good cooling choices

current case is not good at all aspire x cruiser, getting to hot inside

This is merely my opinion but i know a lot of others share it
The akasa eclipse 62 and lian li pc7+ are the only 2 sub £120
worth consideration dependant on you're taste of course. However
there's a few £130 ish cases worthy of note including the lian li v1000+.
More fans does not = better cooling i'd never get an armour over an eclipse.
An eclipse will last until the atx format changes.

without offending anyone

the eclipse is plain lookiing, and thats the only reason why i have not got one yet

unless it can be made to look better, as the front is bland

Can only comment on the 900. A very nice case. It took my temperatures down by 10-15c ans is exceptionally quiet. Seems well made too.

I also have the Antec 900. Found this case to be very good, plenty of room (8800 cards inc). Excellent on the cooling front aswell !!! ;)

I don't know how you cannot like the eclipse looks and yet find
the antec 900 good looking it has to be the ugliest thing i ever saw.

i never said the 900 was good looking but it just comes down to personal preference really

the 900 is to cramped for me, so i think that is out of the running

looks like the armor v eclipse now, but i think the eclipse may be to long for my desk

what about the lian li v1000+ or the silverstone below ?

My ultimate case but it's over budget

yes the eclipse is not the most shnazzy of cases i got mine recently
because i'm more interested in room and performance over looks
same as humans it's what's inside that counts.

One thing that really enhances the looks of the eclipse is the transparent side panel. The thing looks great and you can clearly see all the lovelly LEDs on the fans, heatsinks and motherboard :D

One down side of this, is that I had to be more careful than usual how I wired everything up - ugly cabling can really spoil the look ;)

i think they will be out of my price range..

i would buy the eclipse one right now, if it would fit on my desk

it is becoming a frustrating task choosing a case

i have only had this other case 3 weeks, and it isnt doing the job

i took the side panel off and the cpu temp has dropped by 6-7 degrees, so i think that tells me the cooling would be better with a better case..

the mirage looks nice also, but i bet it is the same size as the eclipse

right guys, due to my size restriction of the desk, i have to get a midi case

so i need to know the best midi cases, for cooling, build quality , cable management and side window etc

doesn't matter what price range, anything below £150 would be a bonus, i am sick of looking for one now, i need to get one sorted

but i am restricted to midi size depth, i can go wider and higher just not the depth of it

obviously need one with good cooling options , build quality

thanks for any guidance

I also own a A900, and to be honest I'd much prefer to own an Eclipse62. However, I've learnt to live with the fugly 900 since its cooling performance far outweighs its fugliness. (lol I'm making it sound like an ugly chick). :D

Imho, if you're aiming for high overclocks and aren't planning on water cooling (like me) then there is no other case (below £120, at least) that will 'air cool' your components as well as the A900 does. If you find the Antec aesthetically pleasing (hourses for courses and all that) then you might as well just buy it, the cable management does suck a little, but it can soon be tidied with a bit of patience. :)

what you reckon of the

Lian Li PC-7 SE-B II Black Midi Tower

now i do not know if this has been modded at all to do the top vents?

and i like the front of the case with those (whatever they are)

this case looks well nice imo, i want it?

i have had a thermaltake armour and it is a brilliant case, i think it is great for cooling and i diddnt have the one with the 25cm fan on the side but it is a great case for working on. I Have one for sale if u are interested email me in trust.

i want this case, overclockers said they might have stock of PC7+II case which is of the same specification as the Scandanavian edition.

i guess this case above is the scandanavian edition - hence the SE in the product title? ( Lian Li PC-7 SE-B II )
