Hi all,

As any of you added the extra side fan?
Did it improve your CPU temps?

I had to take out the interal fan holder on the hdd cage as cabling would have been a nightmare.

I'm got all the fans at Medium setting apart from the top 200 which is at high and due to my tower being behind a door in my desk may be a little warm @ 43/45 deg (tat) and drop 10 deg with my desk door open but scared of all that dust lol.

So i was thinking of adding another Antec tricool on the side, but wanted to see if i would see improvement on my cpu as the fan will be really focused on the gfx card not the cpu.

What do you think.

Ps i love the case and the psu at the bottom is an excellent idea

i had a side panel fan on some people say you need to cut a corner off with big coolers but i was ok with my ninja

if you are only using 3 hdd's then you can still use the internal fan too

I took off the hard drive cage fan holder too. Cant use a side fan as my tuniq gets in the way. All my fans on lowest settings, and my temps are 37/38 Degrees (Dunno which one Mobo temp is, but they are both nearly the same). And 40/42 Load on folding. See sig for spec.

Well ve ordered a 120mm fan now so wil have to see.

My temps are 40 idle 55 load(TAT) but my towers in a desk with a door on so not miuch air getting in.

So thats why ive ordered and extra fan. If my temps still dont improve then ill try it on my desc with fans on low.

Something i noticed is that when i set the 200mm top fan to high it didnt get any louder.

Iv'e added a 120mm Antec tricool fan to the side of mine and temps are sweet, Idle / Load:

Mobo (DFI Infinity) - 29 / 32
Gpu (bfg 8800gtx) - 39 / 43
HDD (Raptor) No1 - 22 / 23
HDD (Raptor) No2 - 27 / 29

All fans are set on Medium...

Mines on a side desk, so i dont have to hoover my room, PC does it for me ... :p

What was your cpu temp before the side fan, did it make a lot of difference?

Whats your cpu temp on load (orthos)?

I have the Antec 900 and was using it without a sidefan, but after putting the Geforce 8800 figured I should probably get a bigger case. I bought another but it was terrible, temperatures went through the roof and airflow was bad, so I switched it all back to the 900.

I took a fan from the case I'd bought and used it on the side of the Antec, which didn't seem to do much for the CPU but it dropped the Geforce temperatures down by 10. It used to idle at 62, after putting the sidefan in it dropped to 52.

Like I said though, the CPU didn't change much if at all. I think the airflow was already the best it could be, so puffing a bit more air at it didn't make a whole lot of difference. Its great for graphics card cooling though.

Guys

Do you have the side case fan blowing into the case or out of?

I would have thought into would be best but then that may play up with the airflow of the case?

What do you guys do???

Good question, I'm thinking of getting a fan for the side of my case as well and just presumed it would be blowing into the case.

In the end i did get a side fan, my cpu temps havent budged but my gfx card is nice and cool.

After reading this I am encouraged to get one as my 2900xt runs quite hot when its overclocked a lot!

Sorry to butt in with a question here, but ive been looking at this case fore a while, and i have to ask, would this case house a 8800 gtx card happily?

Also, how noisy is the case?, in comparison to say a standard case with 4 normal size fans...

Also, i have a Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler, would this case accomodate this happily..

Just a quick yes or no to these questions and any general positive/negative feedback about the case would be awesome

cheers fellas...

can anyone get back to me on my above questions, cus im thinking of ordering this case soon and dont want to find out its too small...

Like most clothers i buy, lol

Deadman appears to have a 8800Gtx in the A900

The case is pretty quiet with all the fans on low setting.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro - No problem, had one in mine.

Hi, it will fit an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro easilt with no problems. The case is no louder than ant other case (not that i have notcied), and yes an 8800gtx will fit...

I'm sure you will like the case as it fits all your requirements just thought i'd point out my only issue with the case that is the fact it comes with no dust filters, it sucks in an amazing amount of dust!

could any of you take a picture of the top plastic part of the case please, I'm kinda put off by any plastic external part. Thanks!
