Antec 900 vs Antec p182

could you help me choosing out of those 2 cases?

900 or p182

in another word, does choosing the p182 justify the extra £15 ?

I would say so, the 900 looks cheap and tacky. Not a fan of the P182 either but it looks a lot better and much better built.

Go with the P182. Much classier case, much better built, also has external fan control which is useful.

I have an Antec 900, and given the choice i'd go for something else now. It does look a bit naff, and collects dust horribly. It does cool well though, and cable management for me wasn't as bad as I expected (I only have 1 HDD and 1 DVDRW though)

can the cooling of p182 stand up to 900's cooling?

i plan to have the rare+top fans to be on low, while putting a fan in the middle drive bay (without the drive cage). will that create enough airflow to keep the motherboard happy?

seeing 900's number of fans, im just worried that p182 may not be as good at cooling

the cooling in my p182 is fantastic, when i changed over to it my cpu temperature droped 20°C

Also one of my fans died on my P182, so I filled in a support ticket on Antecs site and they sent me another 2 fans and some stickers for free. No proof of purchase or dead fan required

speaking of fans. in the specification, it says "optional front fans" so does the fan mounted in front of the middle drive bay provided? (or do i have to buy one)

AFAIK, there are three fans supplied as standard. The two exhaust fans at the back and top of the case, and the third between the psu chamber and lower hdd cage. Others need to be bought seperately

im going for the antec 900, and i also had a dilema over these....

but i ended goign with the antec for one reason......SIDE WINDOWS

i want to see my beautiful neon inside, so i needed a side window.

PS, just for curiosity, how tall is the p182.

i have neven seen real life pics of p182s on desks or next to some one

52cm high apparently, but don't know if that's with or without the spoiler.

got the Antec 900 and i'm personally very happy with it.

Plenty of room, great cooling with all fans on low speed (E6600@ 3.15ghz full load 24.7 on both cores - max's at 48 degrees)

Side window is nice as it's not an extra cost as per most cases and a well put together case.
