Antec 900 window on 300?

Anyone think the antec 900 window/sidepanel would fit on the 300 ?

has anyone got both?

its just something im thinking about.
 
well I have an Antec 300, and my cousin has my old 900, so i'll nip down and borrow the side off it to check for you. If i dont go tonight i'll nip tommorrow. :)

the case is a different shape but the side panel is just a square. OP could be onto something.

id like to know is i can somehow get the antec 300 dust filters for the front of my antec 900. deffo need dust filters for the 900, its dust magnet sitting on the floor.

The filter in the 300 is just one long thing the size of 6 bays, so wouldn't fit the 900. You could just get some aftermarket filters from OcUK. ;)
 
is it possible to swap the drive cages from the antec 300 into the antec 900? that way you could get the much needed dust filter?
 
unfortunately no, the 300 doesnt have romoveable drive cages, and the fans are fixed to the chassis.

as you can see in this pic, apart from the top three bays the rest is one piece of mesh.

The Antec 1200 drive cages are the same size and fit the Antec 900, they have built in fan filter and fan control on the front. The only difference is the honeycombe holes are slightly bigger on the 1200, that would certainly stop it being a dust vacume.
 
Kinda OT but has anyone got any suggestions for making a 300 look a bit more interesting? I've got 2 blue-LED tricools in the front, but the rest is just a big black box. I'm think some sort of lighting inside, you'd see it through the top and side opennings.

I am also wondering this and have sent a message to Antec support and i'm waiting for a reply. If I don't get a reply within a resonable time i will nip round a mates to find out as my case arrives tomorrow and I want to start modding it straight away. :)

musicman have you actually seen both cases and know 100% that it won't or are you just making an educated guess.

The cases are the same size apart from the hideous top (imho) on the 900, also it is more likely that it will fit as manufacturers like to use the same moulds and presses for various models to reduce production costs.

Still no word from antec themselves
 
would be nice if it did!...Antec would get a whole order for a shipment of 900 Window side panels lol

Great news just got a reply from antec which reads

Hello bradley,

The panel from a 900 is the same size as the 300 side panel. You can contact [email protected] to purchase a panel.
