Hi there, Is there a way to wire the fans in the Antec 900 case to a fan controller at all, because to change the speed of the fans you have to get inside the case and select the speed you want on the little black box coming off the fan.

You would be able to plug them in and leave them set on maximum. You should then be able to adjust them with the rheostat. Ive never done this however, and it would dim the led ones at the front of the case.

What is the rheostat?? What i wanted to get is a external fan controller and plug them all in so i could control them from from outside the case.

Rheostat=Variable Potentiometer=Variable Resistor=External Fan Controller

There are subtle differences, but the terms are often used interchangeably.

Basically - you bought the wrong case to be able to easily control the fans.

Thanks, but how would i connect the fans to the fan controller, would i have to cut the black boxes off and then wire it into the correct connecters.

I'd imagine you'd leave them all the fans set to 'high' and then use the fan controller to control the speed. No alteration required to the fans (unless I'm missing something obvious!).

The fan controller would modify the power sent to fans thereby slowing them down/speeding them up.

let me know how you get on and what you did if you get it working as i treid it with a scythe kama meter and couldnt get them to work.

It says it in the book that comes with the case. Turn fans up to high and put them through a fan controller.
