is the top of the antec 900 plastic or steel?
also is there any plane pannels cuase i want a plane solid black panel so i can make a custom fan speed control and i dont want it on the mesh panels

Top is plastic, 200mm fan grill is steel.

Sides and back are steel, front is plastic with (removeable) metal fan grills.

Theres a 3.5" adaptor grill included for a floppy drive; could always fit a custom fan controller in that.

You might find these new Antec cases interesting (esp the mini P180):

Might be able to buy/acquire a plain panel that fits the 900 from another antec case. Can't find anything of use in Antecs spare parts store though (removed link because of indirect competition).

yea but they took away the nice shape the antec 900 had and gave it a ugly external shape that looks like was drawn from a 2 yr old trying to draw a car....board box, it looks like its made by xclio 0.0

the 900 sucks atleast the 1200 has fan filters

but the 900 looks better and the problems that the 900 create can be fixed by buying a few air filters, silent fans and anti virbration stoof for fans :S while the antec 1200 just look plain ulgy, but i guess some people might like it better..
