hey,

seems like a stupid question this but does anyone know if the antec 902 has a built in speaker?

Just doing a new pc build today core i7 920 cpu on asus p6t mobo, just booted it up and all leds, fans, cpu cooler, GPU fans working but.... silence and nothing on screen, bios not posting, or at least if it is i'm getting no video but tried moving the card to 2 different slots so dont think its a gpu problem. just wondering if there is any point me starting to strip stuff out and listening out for the bios beeps when theres no internal speaker so i'll never hear anything anyway!!! at moment all i've got connected is psu, cpu cooler, ram and gpu, no drives attached.

am so annoyed, taken me hours to build and not a clue whats wrong, can anyone offer a trouble shoot list I should work down to diagnose prob?? thanks :(

The case doesnt have a built in speaker. Have you tried removing 1 stick of ram? Worked for me until i updated the bios, now it works fine with 2. Not sure if i7 would have this issue though.

the p6t mobo doesn't allow just one ddr3, i've tried taking one out so 2 modules were in the correct slots but still doing same thing, cant understand why, if there is a speaker on mobo I'm not hearing anything whatsoever... is my mobo dead?? (internal power & reset switches are both lit on the board tho..)

if I take the graphics card out should I def hear some beebs does anyone know?

Sorry to resurrect a week old thread, but I'm wondering if you made the same mistake I did. The i7 has its own power connector on the motherboard ... so you connect the power supply twice to the motherboard.

Had me stumped until I resorted to RTFM.
