Ignoring my terrible 2 second photoshop, how hard would this be to achieve for someone who has never touched spray paint in a major way before?

I've managed to get quite a few guides on the painting process off these forums along with other areas on the internet and as far as I can tell Halfords should stock everything I need.

So, should I try this some time in the future? (Money is tight atm so I won't be hitting it up too soon, just gauging how hard it is going to be.)

Any tips/tricks?

i cant see it being too expensive....on the other hand i would get some paint and try spraying some thing cheap say like a a sheep of hard board prep it first and undercoat just to see how you are at spraying before you start on your case....or you could try spraying the inside of your right side panel as if your not confident and doesnt look right no one will ever see it lol....keep us up to date if you decide to do it...

Shouldn't be too hard!

Do a test on some old DVD/CD drives etc...

Basically you'll need:
Sand Paper - Couple of grades to do a rough down of metal.
Spray Paint - a White Primer and White overlay. I'd say Halfords White Primer and White Appliance Gloss should do you.
You'd need an Orange as well.
Oh and some Masking Tape/Newspaper Obviously.

I'm guessing £20-40 maybe for the stuff.

key to it all is patience and pre planning take your time and all should to plan remember if you get a run leave it to dry and buff it out, apply thin coats and build layers up

Sorry, missed out on this thread because I had to wait for a new PSU to come -facepalms-

Anyway!

I can probably get to Halfords for stuff but I've been told there's a pretty good paint place in town (far closer than Halfords would be) that will get me pretty good quality paint for a decent price.

Is there anything in particular I should look out for when buying the paints from somewhere not-halfords?

Thanks for all the help so far anyways.

As for somewhere to spray to test it, I was thinking of just pulling out one of the hard-drive bays and having a go on the inside of those, if I mess it up horribly..eh, nobody sees in there.
