Hi all
I have recently upgraded my PC (see sig) and I am considering dropping in another MSI 6870 as my mobo supports crossfire and its quite a cheap card.
However, I am concerned about space/heat in the 900 case.
Its quite a cramped case in single card set up, so Crossfire looks like it will be a nightmare!
Have any of you done Crossfire/SLI in a 900 case? If so, how did it cope with heat? It looks like the 2nd GPU will be right on top of the PSU....?
Which brings me onto my 2nd question, will my Corsair HX 620 be enough to power a Crossfire system? An online estimate says it should be fine, but I am wary of what an online estimate says and would prefer real life evidence
Financially, Crossfire is only going to work for me if I can reliably drop in a 2nd card and thats the end of it. If I have got to shell out for a new PSU and case I wont be able to afford it.
I should also mention that my case is stock, and I will not be using any water cooling.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
