antec case query

Hello,

Due to the Corsair 600T deciding not to ever appear on here :rolleyes:

I'm looking for alternative case. Can someone advise me on how the airflow in an antec 300 case works?

Basically I'd like the same sort of fan setup as the 600t has. Intake from front and exhausting via top fan with the PSU exhausting out the bottom of the case in the relevant space in the case.

Does the Antec 300 case do this? From the pics I've seen it's also got a side intake as well as front intake and exhausing out the top...or have I misread the antec 300 stats?

what is the best setup for putting air through a PC? Is front intake and out the top the best?
I'm looking at the H50 or H70 so that will be taking air from outside and blowing into the case and out the top I presume?

I'm a bit new to cases but I'm learning

When you purchase it, the Antec 300 only has 2 exhaust fans (120mm rear and 140mm top) and no intakes. There is space for 2 120mm front intakes and 1 120mm side intake.

My rig is air cooled, and I have the front 2 as intakes, with the rear and top fan exhausting. The psu fan is also facing up, so that pulls out any hot air from the bottom.

With regards to the H70, (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) its best to have it pulling in air from outside, so it might be advisable to mount it on the rear of the case and have it sucking air in, just leaving the top as an exhaust.

Like I said, I only have experience with tower air coolers, but that's just my 2 cents!

I have the Antec 300 and im using the H50. My fan config is 2x front intake, 1x side intake, psu fan facing up sucking air out, top fan exaust and h50 at rear as exaust. Ive only noticed about 1-2 degrees difference in temp with h50 mounted that way. Currently at 36oC at idle. Specs in sig

my set up is the same except i have a gladiater cpu heatsink, idle temps between 20* and 25* depending on ambient temps and my 4890 idles at40* 42*, and maxes out at about 78* after a couple of hours gaming
