got this closed loop watercooling kit the other day and I have a few questions..

1) Is the bit on the plastic covering on cpu bit meant to be hot to touch while on?

2) What the max speed? Asus AI Suite shows "CPU Fan" as 1464 RPM.. I have the Kuhler's radiators fan plugged into the cable which is linked to the cpu bit with the other cable on the CPU_FAN header on my mobo.

plastic covering? are you taking about the clear plastic? if so your ment to take that off

No. The black bit.

It's probably another material, but it feels more like plastic to me than anything I can put a name on

ok

check you temps using core temp/real temp

Temps run at 29 min, 55c max they usually level out at around 50 under load though.

It is normal for that bit to be hot to touch or? Running an i5 3570k w/ turbo @ 3.8ghz I'm not complaining about CPU temps, I more concerned about the pump bit being hot to touch. Not sure whether that's normal or not since I've never used any sort of watercooling before.

Okay cool, thanks

Is the CPU FAN speed meant to be 1486? rpm .it stays around this speed constantly. I do have asus q-fan disabled
