Just been trying to install this cooler in my new system below and I have to say that the build quality is very poor. the backplate doesn't line up properly and it takes a lot of force on it, just to hold it in position. Have given up trying to install it in my 550D. Any other suggestions that dont have a flimsy backplate?

The black plate does go on at a slight twist, so thats normal.

You have to use it to fit the front ring into.

You have checked that you are placing the metal inserts into the correct holes in each corner?

I am yes, into the 1156 holes as there is only option for that, 1366 and 775. Just dont know why it wont go. Really P**sed as I spent a lot of money on this new setup and I have to make do with the stock cooler

Lol... with the help of some Gaffa tape holding in the backplate while i secured it and a few choice words at it, the bugger stayed. Gaffa tape off and its all dandy. Ta for the help. Pics of new build just going in case gallery
