ok so i got myself the 920, installation went fine two days ago even the chill software was working ....but now im getting an error message saying " Cannot Connect to chill device. Check USB device and restart Chill Control Application "....but ive unplugged and plugged back in the USB header into one of the Blue USB inputs on my mobo , my mobo is a Asus M5A99X EVO AMD 990X ATX Motherboard and windows7 64Bit , I've checked in Device Manager.."Device Status " and it says " Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) " anyone know how to solve this please ..any help ?

thanx :)

yeah ive re-installed the antec chill software drivers ..but it was ok for the first two days ? lol...no they are not usb 3 ports....i'll check again but im pretty sure .

at the bottom of the mobo there is a black input and three blue inputs and one longer white one...the usb plug for the cooler is in the blue input next to the white input

I have this cooler and had this same issue.

The software wasnt working in my case because I needed to plug it into the USB header the other way around.

Thats probably not the case for you since it was working for a couple of days. but may just be the wrong pins or not quite in properly.

Otherwise yeah, it might be knackered.

Im going by memory, but i think the connector is a straight 4 pin connector. and the usb header in the MB has a straight 4 pin and three pins above it.

I had it attached at the right 4 pins but I needed to turn it roun 180 degrees and plug it back in.

I can let you know when I get home from work properly.

ok thank you

also the three blue usb ports are a "box" type input

they are the right usb inputs i should be using right ? lol

As long as they're USB2 ports, which they do look like.

mine isn't a box, its 5 straight blocks. It should work the same though, and how you have it is the same as mine. That colour combination left to right on the upper pins of the Usb header, upper being opposite the side with the gap.

Does the light come on on the cpu cover?

It might be a software issue rather than hardware also. A clean install is a bit of a faf, but might be worth a go.

What happened then? Could u please update me? Having the same issue and under device manager i see only 960CL as not recognized device and no way to install it again, I tried everything, basically during the installation it doesn't say anymore "installing drivers".... It worked only for 10 minutes then I was installing other things and it stopped, please help!
