Hi,

So Antec have decided to release the beginning of a new range of coolers to try and compete in the Air cooling market after the AIO Cooler had great success.

These coolers are the start of a bigger range and they have decided to release the budget friendly coolers first. The coolers are very easy to install and can handle themselves when running intensive CPU programmes.

They are the standard Intel and AMD socket support (Not 2011) and come with a Blue LED fan to add a little colour to your computer.

I believe Antec have done a good job with the cooler and have released them at a price point correct for the market they are aiming for.

All coolers are now in stock.

I had a pre-production C400 to test out (see here) and I really hope they listened to those of us who had the opportunity to test them. The mounting system was the biggest problem which meant the cooler didn't even fit my board. Even on the wifes B85 board with it's single vrm heatsink I could only orientate the cooler in a single direction. If they haven't changed the mounting system then I can see them ending up with a lot of disgruntled customers.

From my C400 test sample I saw very little increase in performance from changing the fans. The problem with these coolers is the abysmal mounting system that they use and it's lack of clearance for vrm heatsinks. I couldn't even fit it on my Asus Maximus VI Hero and could only fit it facing one way on the wifes Gigabyte B85M-D3H. I was hoping that they would listen to us and change it for the final release version but it appears that they haven't.
