I believe this hobbit sized wonder has hit the U.K

Wonder when OcUK will have it in stock and how much it will be?

Any takers? :D

21.3" (H) x 8.1" (W) x 19.9" (D) - P180

21.3" (H) x 8.1" (W) x 19.9" (D) - P182

17.1" (H) x 8.3" (W) x 17.2" (D) - Mini P180

Less 4.2" (H)

Extra 0.2" (W)

Less 2.7" (D)

Haha should be called *Almost P180* :D

Click picture for full-sized version.

Mechanical Drawings for anyone interested, I didn't realise two of the three 5.25" bays were situated at the bottom of the case. If you have just one optical drive then the lower bays are up for grabs?

Ideas? :)

Total of 8 hard drives possible if using the Icy Dock MB-453SPF

Yeah I'm sure the look won't be to everyones tastes but looks aside I think this case has potential, I mean two 120mm intake fans, one rear 120mm exhaust and a 200mm *Big Boy* exhaust in the roof! add to that the PSU is tucked away in the bottom (ala P180/182/190) in its own thermal zone.

I was a bit sceptical about this whole PSU at the bottom of the case but after having used the P182 for a month or two I think its great now.

The old convention of having the PSU at the top of the case, soaking up the extra system heat and acting as an exaust is not ideal.

Seems the 200mm fan is slowly but surely making it was into more cases, is this a sign of things to come?

doubt it will be much than £20 cheaper than the £80 for an SG03 and when you have that for an extra £20, no contest!
It looking to cost the same price as the Silverstone SG03 which I agree is a rather nice case . . . . however the SG03 is far from perfect IMO.

  • The SG03 can hold two 3.5" drives compared to the Mini's five 3.5" drives
  • The SG03 severely restricts your choice of heatsink
  • The SG03 doesn't allow you to tinker with your components without first removing your PSU (wtf?)
  • The SG03 offers two 120mm intakes vs the Mini's two 120mm intakes, one 120mm exaust and one 200mm exaust fan in the roof
Don't get me wrong I still think the SG03 has potential also, we all have different needs and wants from a case, but I didn't buy the Silverstone case because of the reasons I listed above.

when you have a all aluminum silverstone matx case that takes a GTX your at a loss!
I think a GTX length card will fit fine in the Mini? although you will probably have to lose a drive bay! :p

There is no accounting for taste and what one person finds great looking seems ugly to another, as we all know there is no such thing as a perfect case!

I personally think the *mini* is decent looking, probably even better in front of you than in a photo, however . . . . looks aside it appears to have excellent function and is most definitely a thermally advantaged chassis! (200m fan in the roof! :D)

Also like the fact that there is unrestricted access to the major components and scope for good/tidy cable management.

Nice tidy build there Vas!

Looks great, how are the temps and stuff? That Geforce looks a tad close to the bottom of the case? any plans/need to slap in a 120mm fan in that vacant fan holder?
