the power supply is supposed to be very small though.
it fits in the gap to the left of the rear fan (above bottom pic)

Can't see it myself. I would want a HTPC to be quiet and inconspicuous, not crazy, noisy and open.

I think it's aimed towards the market of people buying the new wave of performance miniITX boards like the zotac ones recently released. Still don't see the point in high performance miniITX though, not yet.

i can see where you are coming from with that. i supposed most people do not want their HTPC to be so visible. most are designed to be discreet.

performance mini ITX is a very good assumption. since components are getting smaller, which in turn leads to greater uptake of smaller form factors. although dispelling heat from smaller machines can be a problem.

give it a few years and we will prolly see more of them.
